St. Augustine is 7-0 and Bartram Trail is 6-1, and the only game on Friday’s card with two county schools in it is at Bartram Trail.
All eight county schools play. Seven games. All at 7 p.m. FloridaHSFootball’s week nine bye list does not carry one of them.
Here they are, visitor first, records as MaxPreps carries them Thursday.
Nease (4-3) at Bartram Trail (6-1) at Bear Stadium, both of them in 5A District 2. Both of them have won three in a row coming into it.
Mandarin at Beachside (3-3), 5A District 2, and Beachside has lost its last two. No win at home yet.
Creekside (5-2) at Flagler Palm Coast, at Sal Campanella Memorial Stadium, 6A District 1. The only county team that leaves the county this week.
Impact Christian at Menendez (3-4) at 600 State Road 206 West, which the schools do not carry as a district game. The only one on the card.
Fletcher at Ponte Vedra (2-5) at The Shark Tank, 460 Davis Park Road, 5A District 2. Three home games, three home losses.
Orange Park at St. Augustine (7-0) at H.L. Foots Brumley Stadium, 4A District 4. Seven played, and the streak column reads seven.
Atlantic Coast at Tocoi Creek (2-5) at The Bullpen, in 6A District 1 with Creekside. Kickoff at seven like the rest.
Six of the seven are at a county school.
MaxPreps prints points for and against on all eight of these schools, and in the middle of October that is the column worth reading, because it does not move around with who somebody happened to draw. St. Augustine has scored 275 and given up 69. Creekside, 229 and 106. Nease, 214 and 169. Beachside, 185 and 138. Bartram Trail, 171 and 120. Ponte Vedra, 168 and 197. Menendez, 116 and 146. Tocoi Creek, 116 and 197.
This page does not chase a score.
Nothing in this county publishes one that we can take, so a result runs here when a named outlet reports it and that outlet’s name goes in the line beside it.
Week ten starts Oct. 19 and the Friday in it is Oct. 23.
