The National Weather Service reissued the warning at 3:47 Sunday morning and extended it from Monday evening to 5 a.m. Wednesday. It still carries the words numerous roads may be closed. Monday's predicted morning high at St. Augustine Beach is 6.344 feet above mean lower low water, which is higher than either of Saturday's, and Tuesday's is higher again. The city has put City Hall and 50 Bridge Street on a delayed opening until noon.

The National Weather Service has a coastal flood warning for Northeast and Southeast Coastal St. Johns running from 5 p.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Monday, and it uses the words significant coastal flooding expected. A wind advisory covers the inland parts of the county as well, from noon Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday, for northeast gusts up to 40 mph. Both predicted high tides at St. Augustine Beach on Saturday sit above mean higher high water before any wind is counted, which is the part of this that is different from the advisory that ran on Tuesday. A gale warning covers the water from St. Augustine to Flagler Beach from 8 p.m. Saturday.

St. Johns County's release says the ramp and its parking lot go off limits on Oct. 26 for maintenance dredging, and gives no reopening date. The county already gave one to its own board on Oct. 6: completion anticipated by Dec. 6. The same minutes put the start at Oct. 22, four days earlier than the release does. The board authorized up to $609,850 for the dredging in July, 5 to 0, on consent.

The National Weather Service has minor coastal flooding, large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet and dangerous rip currents in Northeast and Southeast Coastal St. Johns, all three issued at 9:56 Monday morning. The gauge at Mayport read above the predicted tide at every one of 262 readings between midnight Sunday and 2 a.m. Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon's predicted high at St. Augustine Beach sits below mean higher high water, so the chart is not the part of this that is high.

Red Snapper
Friday is the last day the offshore forecast gives this coast seas of around 2 feet, and the Atlantic red snapper season ends Oct. 22. A cold front crosses Friday night and the Jacksonville forecast office is carrying the potential for gale force winds from late Saturday into Monday, with seas of 13 to 15 feet in the zone the ledges sit in. Nothing is in force tonight. And the fourteen days are the permit's: outside FWC's Exempted Fishing Permit, federal water closed on Oct. 11.

St. Johns County has published the slides and the recording from its Oct. 7 trolley meeting in South Ponte Vedra. They give the stop locations, the cost share the Army Corps would pay, and a local saving the county puts at $29,300,000 over fifty years. The highest water of this run is predicted for 8:58 Saturday morning at the St. Augustine city dock. The rain arriving off Hurricane Isaias is a separate thing from the tide, and the National Weather Service has written both of them down. The seawall the state says is being built against king tides started in June and is due in fall 2027.

Every rainfall total the National Weather Service recorded in St. Johns County during the nor'easter came from one afternoon, Oct. 5, and one side of the county, the river side between Picolata and World Golf Village. The two county flood reports that drew television cameras came from Palm Valley two days later. The weather service logged no rainfall measurement in Palm Valley at all, and the nearest one to those flooded roads was taken in Duval County.

The fourteen-day Atlantic season starts Oct. 9 in both state and federal water. A front stalls Tuesday and a northeast surge behind it builds seas through midweek, with a small craft advisory and a gale watch already written for the Georgia waters. Friday's forecast for the offshore zone is east 15 to 20 knots and seas 5 to 6 feet.

A gale watch now covers the water off St. Augustine from Tuesday afternoon to 5 a.m. Thursday, along with a coastal flood advisory and a high rip current risk. All of it ends before the season starts Friday. The weekend behind it is a separate system: a Gulf low the National Hurricane Center gives a 70 percent chance of becoming a tropical depression, lifting a front back through here Saturday and Sunday with heavy rain.

The Florida Inland Navigation District's own list, dated Sept. 24, puts $250,000 on dredging the Vilano boat ramp, $300,000 on maintenance dredging in the Salt Run channel and $125,000 toward a St. Augustine fire vessel. The fire boat is an $828,000 purchase, which is a figure the city did not give. The list shades a cut award in orange, and none of the three St. Johns rows is shaded.

The National Weather Service has the risk at High for Saturday and Sunday on surf of four to six feet, and its own definition of High is that life-threatening rip currents are likely. The Coastal Flood Advisory does not cover the ocean side of this county. It covers Western St. Johns, on the river, where a full moon and an onshore wind are holding the water in.

The season covers state and federal water, which is where the fish this coast catches actually live. Declare the trip before leaving the dock or the fish stays in the water, and do not take a number off FWC's general snapper page, which still prints 20 inches and two per person.

St. Johns County says it is working toward a long-term federal partnership for beach restoration at South Ponte Vedra Beach, and that the amount of public access inside the project area is one of the primary things the Army Corps uses to set the local share. Along that shore the county's own access page lists one county parking area, at 24 spaces.

Incidental take permit TE091980-0 was issued in August 2006 and its own first page gives 8/31/2026 as the expiration. It covers about 41.1 miles of coastline. Federal rules let a renewable permit's activities continue while the Service decides on an application, and the county does not publish where that application stands.

The Shrimp Run
Recreational shrimping is open in the six counties that close for April and May. The daily mean at Buffalo Bluff was 85.1 degrees Saturday, three degrees above the same date last year, and the water at Racy Point is six tenths of a part per thousand salt.

Fishing Report
The northeast blow that closed this water on Wednesday has gone. The buoy twelve miles off the St. Augustine Inlet printed three foot seas at two in the morning, and underneath them a swell of eight inches at 12.5 seconds out of the east. The forecast carries that long band into Sunday and then turns the wind back on Wednesday.

A small craft advisory covers every zone from Altamaha Sound to Flagler Beach until 5 a.m. Thursday. The seas off St. Augustine are a northeast wind wave almost all the way through, with about eight inches of swell under it.

Fishing Report
Three wave buoys between Fernandina Beach and Ponce Inlet read three different seas on Tuesday afternoon. Florida Sportsman's Northeast Florida forecast, published Sept. 10, put eleven kingfish off the Jacksonville Beach pier in a single day.

The county's budget advertisement prints a separate millage for each coastal district: 0.5000 at Coastal Highway, 0.5500 at Serenata, 2.0000 at South Ponte Vedra Beach. The project those rates help pay for is still short a dozen signatures.

NOAA's predictions for the St. Augustine city dock put the water 10 inches above an ordinary daily high on Oct. 27, and the four days around it are nearly as high. None of that includes wind or rain.
