Friday nights, all of them

Where this comes from

Every game above is read from the schools' own athletic calendars on fhsaa.homecampus.com, last pulled Sunday, October 4. All eight county high schools are on it. They are not all complete, which is why we read two outside sources against them as well.

Kickoff times are the ones the school published, and they move. Where a game sits on only one of the two schools' calendars we say so on the row rather than quietly picking one. Games in February and March are the spring slate, not the fall season, and they are tagged.

Every fall varsity game above is also checked against two outlets that publish the same slate: MaxPreps and FloridaHSFootball.com, both read on Sunday, October 4. That check currently finds 6 games neither school's calendar carries at all, and 3 where the outlets and the schools disagree about the date, the host or whether a game is varsity. A separate check finds games a single school's own calendar lists on two different dates. Those rows all say so. We do not quietly pick a winner between two sources, or between a source and itself.

We do not print a score we cannot stand behind. Almost no athletic office enters results, so most games here will never carry one from the schools. Where a school has entered its own final, we print it and say which school reported it. Where another outlet reports a result, we report what that outlet reported, name it and link it. We will not pass off somebody else's reporting as ours, and we will not print a number nobody published.

Playing a game we do not have, or is something here wrong? Tell us.
