Eight county schools play Friday. All eight play a district game.
That happens once all season, and Friday is it: counting the varsity football rows on each of the eight schools’ own Home Campus calendars, every one of the eight carries a game dated 10/09/2026 with game_type reading District, where Oct. 16 gets seven of them, Oct. 23 gets six, Sept. 11 got six, and the other eleven Fridays on the fall card get four or fewer.
Seven games, and one of them is county against county.
St. Augustine goes to Ridgeview at 6-0. That is the only unbeaten record in the county. Ridgeview is 1-5.
Bartram Trail (5-1) at Beachside (3-2) is the one that does not need a map. It is the only game Friday with two St. Johns County schools in it.
The kickoff list, in the order the schools published it.
Nease (3-3) at Fletcher (4-2), 6:30 p.m., Jack Taylor Stadium. The only 6:30 on the board, and Nease’s own calendar and the statewide scoreboard both say so.
Tocoi Creek (1-5) at First Coast (1-5), 7 p.m., Buccaneer Field, 590 Duval Station Rd. Both teams 1-5. Admission through GoFan is listed at $5.99.
Atlantic Coast (0-6) at Creekside (4-2), 7 p.m., Creekside High School Stadium. The only 0-6 record on Friday’s county card.
Bartram Trail (5-1) at Beachside (3-2), 7 p.m., Barracuda Stadium.
Mandarin (5-1) at Ponte Vedra (2-4), 7 p.m., Shark Tank. Mandarin arrives with the same record Bartram Trail has.
Palatka (2-4) at Menendez (3-3), 7 p.m., Veterans Stadium.
St. Augustine (6-0) at Ridgeview (1-5), 7 p.m., Panther Stadium.
The Tocoi Creek time, settled
Two kickoff times ran in this paper last week for Tocoi Creek at First Coast.
The school’s own calendar had 7 p.m. FloridaHSFootball had 6:30. Readers were told to plan for 6:30, which was safe and was not an answer.
It is 7 p.m.
The school’s calendar still says 7, and MaxPreps says 7 in three places on one page: the schedule row, the event description, and a timestamp of 23:00 GMT, which is 7 p.m. Eastern. FloridaHSFootball still says 6:30 and has not moved.
Two documents against one, and one of the two is the school playing the game.
The records
Two outside sources carry a record for all eight county schools. They agree on every one.
St. Augustine 6-0. Bartram Trail 5-1. Creekside 4-2. Beachside 3-2. Menendez 3-3. Nease 3-3. Ponte Vedra 2-4. Tocoi Creek 1-5.
Four are above .500. Two more are exactly even.
Atlantic Coast at 0-6 and Ridgeview at 1-5 are the two worst records anybody in this county plays Friday. Creekside drew the first and St. Augustine drew the second.
