Start with the one that will catch you out.
The EstuSCARY haunted trail at GTM is not on Halloween.
It runs two nights. Thursday the 29th and Friday the 30th. Seven to half nine, at the South Beach Access parking lot.
The web address of the page ends in oct-29-31.
The page itself never says the 31st. Not once. We searched the whole thing.
So if you read the link and not the page, you turn up on Saturday night to an empty car park.
Tickets are $20 if you book and $30 if you just show up. The page says it suits ten and over.
Tonight, and it is already started
Free trick-or-treating on St. George Street. One until four. Costumes, decorated shop fronts, all ages, no ticket.
It ends at four. Check the clock before you walk down there.
Then the Alligator Farm from half five until nine. Creatures of the Night. Tonight is the second of its two nights.
Twenty dollars if you are not a member. Sixteen if you are two to eleven, which you are not. Eighteen and fourteen for members.
You have to buy the ticket in advance. They say so on the page.
One thing got cancelled and it was tonight
The Hastings trunk-or-treat at Al Wilke Park was down for 5 p.m.
The county has it marked CANCELLED on its own site.
That is the county cancelling the county. If somebody told you it was on, they read an old list.
The age rules, which nobody puts on the poster
This is the part worth knowing before you drive anywhere.
The Elkton corn maze will turn you away. Sykes Family Farms says under 16 has to have an adult the entire time. Their capitals, not ours.
They go further. Buy a ticket online on your own and you do not get in, and they phone your parent.
The Old Jail After Dark wants you to be 13. The page says the tour is not suitable for children and you must be at least 13 to attend.
It also starts at midnight and runs to half two in the morning. It is $96.10.
So that is a lot of money, at an hour you cannot get a ride home from, for a building on San Marco.
The Alligator Farm publishes no minimum age. None at all.
Where a page prints nothing, we print nothing. An age we invented is what sends a family on a wasted drive.
The pub crawl is 21 and over. The FAQ says every guest gets carded at the taverns.
Do not waste the $25.
The lantern walking tour takes anyone. All ages, in the operator’s own capitals, and they say there are no jump scares in it. $25, and free if you are six, which you are not.
The fort investigation needs an adult if you are under 18. Their capitals again.
It is $35, it starts at half eight, and the equipment is included.
What is still open after this weekend
The corn maze runs to the first of November, per its own banner.
So the week looks like this: the trick-or-treating is this afternoon and the Alligator Farm is tonight and the corn maze is open all week with an adult, and then the haunted trail takes Thursday and Friday, and the tours run straight through.
Halloween itself is a Saturday. The haunted trail is shut by then.
But the walking tour goes out at eight on a Saturday and the fort investigation at half eight.
Both run that night.
One takes anyone. The other needs an adult with you.
Every date, price and age rule here was read off the venue’s own page this afternoon and the pages are archived. Where a venue publishes no minimum age, this story says so instead of guessing one.
