Nine rooms this weekend, and no cover at any of them.

Sing Out Loud runs its last weekend Sept. 18 to 20, and every one of those nine venue pages carries the same line: Local Artist Showcases, FREE EVENT. Counted off the pages, that is 41 music sets and one comedy showcase. The bands are from here.

The room decides your night.

Colonial Oak, 21 St George Street

Three nights, three acts a night, and the only room on the list working all three. Friday is Claire Vandiver at 6, Thomas Allain at 7:30 and Alyse Dione at 9, Saturday is Freddie Caicos & The Sunburns at 6, Jordan Burchel at 7:30 and Annie Dukes at 9, and Sunday starts an hour earlier with Lane Drix at 5, Sparks in the Garden at 6:30 and Andria Shinn & The Loyal Souls at 8.

Spinster Abbott’s, 61 San Marco Avenue

The other three-night room, same shape, same hours. Friday is Cat Rust at 6, Aisle 14 at 7:30 and Three Leg Cat at 9, Saturday is Treis & Friends at 6, Fox Creek at 7:30 and Patrick Hagerman & His Band at 9, and Sunday is The Mermers at 6, The Kreepy Tikis at 7:30 and Loose Touch at 9.

Dog Rose, 77 Bridge Street

Two nights, three acts each, six to ten both times. Friday is Chris Kastle at 6, Bear & Robert at 7:30 and Tom Haney Band at 9, and Saturday is Alex Willow at 6, The Honest Liars at 7:30 and The Pemberwicks at 9.

Anastasia Boulevard is the late shift

Three of these rooms sit on the same road, and on Saturday they hand off.

Hornski’s, 100 Anastasia. Friday is SouthPaw at 7:15 and Kevin PM Quartet at 9, and Saturday is Pocket Knife Dance Party at 5:30, Chemtrails at 7:15 and The Jump Cuts at 9.

Sarbez!, 115 Anastasia. Saturday only, and it starts about when the early rooms are finishing, with Ghost Tropic at 8, Carrabelle at 9, For2itous at 10 and Lemoyne Alexander at 11.

Forty-five minute sets with fifteen minutes between them, which is a festival clock and not a bar one.

Shanghai Nobby’s, 10 Anastasia. Saturday only, later still, with Meatwound at 9, The Dismissives at 10, Tides at 11 and Too Many Daves at midnight.

That last one runs to 12:45 a.m. and it is the last set on the weekend.

That is a long Saturday on one road.

The short ones, and the comedy

Casa de Vino 57, 57 Treasury Street. Saturday, Sparrow Smith at 6 and Ben Haley at 7:30. Two acts, done by 8:30.

Jimmy Hula’s, 709 South Ponce de Leon Boulevard. Sunday afternoon. St. Augustine Sandman at 3, Purple Kloud at 4:30.

Ink & Barley, 201 West King Street. Saturday, one block, 7 to 9, six comedians: Marcus Crespo, Will Blaylock, Dan Venti, Joey Nickel, Delisia Nicholas and Chris Buck.

That page says the showcase is 18+, and it is the only one of the nine that says anything about age.

Two tiles that go nowhere

The festival’s Weekend Three page lays out eleven rooms. Prohibition Kitchen and Bin 39 Wine Bar are two of them, and both tiles open onto a page that is not there.

Prohibition Kitchen publishes its own calendar, so that room still has an answer, and it lists Angel Chantel & Underbrush at 6 Friday and Whalin at 10, Toots Lorraine at 6 Saturday and Chillula at 10, and Lions of Jah at 6 Sunday.

That calendar carries no cover and does not say whether any of it is festival.

Bin 39 has no lineup anybody can read. The festival put a tile up for it and the tile does not open.

Where to be

Friday, Colonial Oak at 9 for Alyse Dione, then walk.

Saturday is Anastasia Boulevard. Sarbez at 8 and Nobby’s from 9, four bands each, no cover, until a quarter to one in the morning.

Sunday, Jimmy Hula’s at 3 if you want the weekend to end in daylight. Spinster Abbott’s at 9 if you do not.

Weekend Three is the last one. The pages say artists, dates and times are subject to change.
