9:30 a.m., Board of County Commissioners, special meeting. Executive Conference Room adjacent to the Auditorium. Per the county’s public notice, the board will convene a private attorney-client session under Fla. Stat. § 286.011(8), confined to settlement negotiations and litigation expense strategy in Robinson Improvement Company v. St. Johns County, Case No. 3:25-cv-01275-TJC-LLL. The notice lists the expected attendees as County Administrator Joy Andrews, county legal counsel, Chair Clay Murphy, Vice Chair Ann Taylor, and Commissioners Christian Whitehurst, Sarah Arnold and Krista Joseph. A court reporter is expected to attend.

5:01 p.m., Board of County Commissioners, special meeting / budget hearing. County Auditorium. The county calendar lists the item as “Budget Hearing.” The board held a hearing at 5:01 p.m. on Sept. 3 to adopt tentative FY2027 millage rates and budget; the agenda for that meeting cites Fla. Stat. §§ 129.03 and 200.065, which require such hearings to be held after 5 p.m. when scheduled on a day other than Saturday, and which set the order of business, beginning with the percentage increase in the county’s aggregate millage rate over the rolled-back rate.

Wednesday, Sept. 16

Thursday, Sept. 17

The St. Augustine City Commission meets at 5 p.m. the second and fourth Monday in the Alcazar Room, City Hall, 75 King Street.
